Indonesia memperingati HUT ke-73 pada 17 Agustus 2018. Tepat hari ini berbagai wilayah di Indonesia serentak menggelar upacara bendera, salah satunya di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Tepatnya, di Alun-Alun Kota Sidoarjo, Jum’at, (17/08).
Dalam upacara pengibaran bendera Merah Putih, Bupati Sidoarjo, Saiful Illah ditunjuk sebagai inspektur upacara.
Sementara itu, Ketua DPRD Sidoarjo Sulamul Hadi Nurmawan dengan memakai jas dan songkoknya bertugas sebagai pembaca teks Proklamasi Indonesia.
Upacara pengibaran bendera Merah putih di Alun-Alun Sidoarjo dilaksanakan sekitar pukul 09.45 wib. Beberapa peserta dari Forkopimda, OPD, Anggota DPRD Sidoarjo, LVRI, Instansi non pemerintah, Ormas dan para pihak terkait nampak khidmat dalam menjalani setiap prosesi.
Bupati Sidoarjo, Saiful Illah mengatakan, setiap tahun peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) Republik Indonesia (RI) salah satunya dimeriahkan dengan pengibaran bendera Merah Putih.
“Alhamdulillah upacaranya berjalan lancar. Petugas Paskibraka sendiri orang-orang pilihan. Sebelumnya dilakukan seleksi sebelum upacara hari ini,” tutur Bupati usai upacara.
Dalam rangka memperingati HUT ke-73 Indonesia tahun 2018, Bupati Sidoarjo ingin lebih bekerja keras lagi untuk mempersembahkan hal yang positif bagi bangsa Indonesia khususnya Sidoarjo, sesuai tema “Kerja Kita Adalah Prestasi Bangsa”.
“Kita harus betul-betul lebih bekerja keras lagi. Menanggulangi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Dan semua program yang belum selesai harus kita selesaikan sesuai visi dan misi Sidoarjo,” terang Abah Ipul, sapaan akrabnya.
Lebih jauh Bupati dua periode ini menjelaskan, Inovatif, sejahtera dan berkelanjutan merupakan visi dan misi Sidoarjo. “Jadi semua program yang belum selesai sampai saat ini harus kita selesaikan, apapun yang belum lanjut kita lanjutkan,” tambahnya.
Pesan moral yang diberikan Abah Ipul bagi masyarakat Sidoarjo adalah masyarakat Sidoarjo harus lebih menghargai program-program pemerintahan. Utamanya untuk pembangunan, pengembangan dan kemasyarakatan.
“Kita tahu masih banyak program yang diberikan pemerintah bagi warga Sidoarjo, namun sampai saat ini belum diselesaikan. Saya harap semua masyarakat menghargai, bersabar dan mendukungnya,” harapnya.
